Depression, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ADHD, Autism and Schizophrenia are all mental disorders that can be supported nutritionally. Research continues to surface on nutritional deficiencies and how they can be correlated with these conditions.
If you or someone you know suffers from one of these conditions and you want to learn about additional therapies for reducing symptoms, this program is for you.
How does it work?
Let’s take depression as an example. Serotonin, the neurotransmitter associated with happiness, is primarily made in your gut. If you have unknown allergies or other intestinal issues, you may not be producing a sufficient amount of serotonin – the “feel happy” neurotransmitter.
In working with a nutritional therapist, we will look at the health of you gut, what may be preventing proper serotonin production and nutritional deficiencies related to serotonin production to ensure your body has the right tools to feel good.
Now serotonin isn’t the only thing correlated with depression, so within your program we will be looking at all the nutrients your body needs and ensure your diet is giving you what you need. In addition, we will look at all the other lifestyle factors that can contribute to feelings related to depression.
Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, ADHD, Autism and Schizophrenia all work in a similar way. We will be looking at the food and lifestyle factors within your life that are contributing to the illness and provide the information and tools needed to decrease correlated symptoms.
